Read Across America Week

Read Across America Week is an annual celebration that encourages kids to get excited about reading.  It takes place the week of March 2, which is the birthday of Dr. Seuss.  I read Zen Shorts by Jon Muth to 2nd grade girls on Wednesday morning.  It is the story of a family who meets a Panda named Stillwater; he tells stories that invite the children to look at the world in new ways.

I love reading to kids, because all kids love to be read to.  How about you?  /JD
